Managing Store Messages
You can define messages that can be sent to a customer pager or mobile phone.
To set up new store messages:
- From the site administrator’s menu bar, choose Site Setup.

Select Store Messages.

The Store Messages screen is displayed.

Ensure the Enable Store Messages check-box is selected.

Select New StoreMsg to create a new store message.
- Enter a message title. This should be unique and easy to identify at Site Admin.
- Enter a message text. You can enter up to 40 characters.
- Enter a sponsor message text. You can enter up to 40 characters of additional text to advertise a promotion.
- Enter the number of minutes after the customer’s arrival time that you want the message to be sent. If you enter a negative number here you can schedule the message to be sent before the guest arrives.
- Select Submit to save the new message.
In addition, you can:
- Select Edit to change an existing message if required.
- Select Make Default to change the default message if required.
- Select Archive to make a message unavailable for selection at site, or Un-Archive to reactivate a message. This allows you to set up seasonal and promotional messages that can be saved for re-use.
- Select the Is A No-Show Warning check-box if the selected message will be sent out to customers a specified number of minutes after the guest was due to arrive. Selecting this check-box allows you to define the No-Show Settings on the second tab page
Defining the No-Show Settings
To configure how your site handles No-Show customers:

If you want a message to be sent to no-show customers, define it in Store Messages.

Ensure the Is A No-Show Warning check-box is selected on the Messages tab page for the selected message as shown.

Select the No-Show Settings tab.

Enter the number of minutes after the reservation time that the No-Show message will be sent out.
- If you only want guests to be marked as no-show if they have already been sent a warning SMS, select the
Only mark as No-Show if warning SMS has been sent? check-box.
If you do not select the Only mark as No-Show if warning SMS has been sent? check-box, the customer will be marked as no-show as soon as the number of minutes defined in step 4 have elapsed. - Select Save.

Defining the SMS Sender ID
The Sender ID is the header on SMS messages. If enabled at company level, site administrators can define the sender ID that is displayed for all messages sent by Tables. If this is not enabled, this information is view only:

Enter the text in the Use this text box. You can enter up to 10 alphanumeric characters
- Select Save.
Defining the Short Store Name
The short store name is a shortened version of your store name that is displayed on SMS messages sent by the site.
